Stewart Dennis got their new 3d by running a design contest:
Design photorealistic scene renderings for a drone that saves lives in disasters.
Check out Stewart Dennis's 3D contest…
We develop drones that save more lives in disasters. We plan to sell those drones to consumers and government agencies. For consumers, the drones may help with evacuation during an emergency situation. For government agencies, the drones may assist with rescue attempts during and after floods, fires, earthquakes and other disaster scenarios.
What's your vision?
I need realistic, premium quality renderings of 4 scenes of the Dennis Rescuer Max drone rescuing people following disasters. I’ve supplied 3D model files for the drone that should be used in the renderings here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/z353wxc3lp5f0th/Drone%203D%20files.zip?dl=0 The disaster scenes should be all of the following: 1. The drone rescues a person from a rooftop of a partially submerged building in a heavily flooded region. 2. The drone rescues a wounded soldier from a battlefield. 3. The drone scans rubble following an earthquake. 4. The drone rescues someone from a burning building. Entries should be sent in with all 4 scenes rendered onto a single image split into a grid of 4 separate renderings (they can be sorted vertically, horizontally, or on a square grid). I’ve attached a number of example renderings that were initially created, but I’m looking to go to a much higher level of quality and sense of photorealism in this contest. A winning entry should have each rendering look indistinguishable from a brilliantly taken photo of a real version of the drone rescuing someone in each respective disaster scenario.
These renderings will be used as centerpiece images in an upcoming fundraising campaign. It's critical that they are exceptionally high quality and feel like a cohesive collection in terms of lighting, visual style, etc. Using stock imagery is fine, but please select for quality so that we can produce a visually stunning result.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. 3D starts at €409.

It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their 3d.
