(Copied from the Amazon book description) You write every day. Whether it's a text to your significant other, an Instagram caption, or a cover letter for a job application, you spend time every day writing. This book is concerned with your problems, the problems of a normal, "everyday" writer. In Read This, Write Better, Stephen Grapes takes a modern approach to teaching one of today's most important and overlooked skills. Combining productivity hacks and self-help advice with dozens of specific writing tips and tactics, Grapes lays out a unique framework for finding writing success in record time. This step-by-step guide to better writing will teach you… • The three rules you need to follow to write at blistering speeds • The six principles of crafting bold, effective sentences • How to write free of insecurity and self-doubt • How to clear your workplace of distractions and get more done in less time • How to use the "universal writing process" to accelerate your improvement
What's your vision?
This is an instructional book (only published digitally, no physical distribution) that teaches people how to write better by changing their habits, mindsets, and skills. **Please don't feel constrained by any of my suggestions below. If you have an idea for something that you think would be great, but that I didn't think of, I would LOVE to see that design** As far as the design of the book cover, I was thinking that it should focus on the title (Read This, Write Better), as opposed to the subtitle (An unconventional guide to becoming an amazing writer). I would like to see some designs with the title written large and in a bold typeface, dominating most of the space on the cover. Feel free to play around with capitalization too. I would like my name included in the book somewhere (my name is Stephen Grapes). As far as incorporating writing imagery (paper, books, pens, etc.) I leave that up to you and your imagination (and please don't feel like you have to include that stuff). I don't have any strong feelings about what colors you should or should not use, but there are a few things you might want to consider. This book is part of a larger company that I am starting. The website and related graphics are all in two shades of blue, a darker one and a lighter one. Attached below are some images from the website and the company logo. Feel free to ignore them though and do your own thing. This book is a standalone product, so its cover should make sense on an Amazon page, not just on the website store page. If you do want to know, the colors for the logo are: Dark blue: 195478 Light blue: 31bee2
