Die Fürstin und ihr Ritter
The princess and her knight Kampan Volume 1 Iara of Kampan – who at a young age got to be the ruling princess of her country – bonds with Tino of Berchag. With this guy? Her brother's question echoes back to her. Because Tino is considered raw, violence loving and looks accordingly. But as in all countries of the United Motherlands, she rules as the princess. She brushes aside her own doubts and enters into the bond with Tino. Her decision unsettles not only the people in Kampan, but also the Princess of Baro. She, too – for other reasons – has cast her eye on Tino of Berchag. How does the conflict end? Will Iara's pursuit of what is good and just be successful? Will Tino find into his new role or will he return to the paths of violence? The author and her book: Maika Adam creates a world that offers more than superficial everyday life. With “The Princess and Her Knight” an epic story begins. It combines love, adventure and supernatural powers in a fictional realm. Anyone who has always wondered whether power in the hands of women can make the world a better place can read here. Fantasy? Yes! But without dwarves, elves or dragons. Instead, with the search for justice, for love in its many forms and the bonds between people beyond the visible. More information: www.kampan.de
adults, probably mainly women
It's about the German e-book cover for the first book in a larger series. It should first be published on Amazon, later possibly also in other shops. In this design contest please design the cover for the first volume. There is the possibility to keep on working with the winning designer in an following 1-to-1 project at the end of this design contest for other two covers (for an additional price to be discussed at the end of this contest). Content: The story takes place in a fictional, medieval realm. There, the reigning power rests with princesses, that is, with women. The central protagonist is: Princess Iara of Kampan. The country of Kampan produces high-quality fabrics: woven fabrics made from linen and sheep's wool. Because of the linen, the flax blossom with its blue-purple hue plays a special role. Design of the cover Prototype: The cover series by Sam Feuerbach Another similar example: the cover of Marah Woolf (woolf.jpg) Background: Based on the sample cover by Sam Feuerbach (Feuerbach1.jpg and Feuerbach2.jpg), a natural-colored linen fabric could form the background. Linen fabric is characterized by the fact that the threads occasionally have thickenings (linen.jpg). Font: Two fonts: Font 1: Name of the author in capital letters, above, in the middle, big ("MAIKA ADAM") Series title: capital letters, below, in the middle, smaller ("KAMPAN BAND 1") Font 2: Title: playful, medieval-looking, color like graphic object ("Die Fürstin und ihr Ritter") Example of a font that I like: Faye.jpg Colours: Light background. Few other colors, with a central color that is different for each volume of the series. The title should have the same central color as the graphic object. Colors that play a role in the story: the blue-purple of the flax blossom, light colors that turn into yellow or orange, the green tones of nature Graphic objects: A drawing should form the middle of the cover. No photos. The flax blossom could stand as a graphic object for the entire series: five-leaved, pale blue with a purple touch (flax blossom.jpg) The drawing for volume 1: A glove made from bobbin lace (bobbin lace.jpg). It reaches just below the elbow, but only has half fingers. So that the tips of the fingers are left free. Like a cyclist glove, but longer and ladylike. Maybe in a light orange or bronze shade. For your information: An attacking European brown bear and a tower could be on the cover of the following volumes. Both are aligned rather upright. Titles are expected to be: "Die Fürstin und die Rache aus Oran" and "Die Fürstin und der Arzt aus der Ferne". More informations: www.kampan.de (in German)
