Logo and branding for LUNA Cafe & Mercantile
Check out karolina.lavagnino's Logo & brand identity pack contest…
We are opening a casual restaurant and mercantile inside an existing hotel that was resurrected and featuring 1970 retro-modern designs called Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites. Luna Cafe will also feature a 1970s retro-modern decor, casual but hip, mix of beatnik, boho-chic and retro-chic. Throwback to nature, celebrating the discovery of space, of the galaxy. Love and peace times, disco dancing, lava lamps, images of galaxy, lighting: large milky globe pendants and Sputnik chandeliers. Casual, gathering place, colorful, full of energy and life. Open layout with many windows, Serving lunch and dinner. Local, fresh food. Serving local beers and wines at the bar. Needs to fit casual dining during the day and an evening bar scene. With indoor and outdoor seating (deck with string lights) Target audience: our hotel is located by Interstate Highway. Thus, we need a friendly, easy to read logo to catch drivers' attention, but also to attract locals and hotel guests to the restaurant. Want to be drawn to it. Logo to be blue, turquoise or orange and to compliment hotel colors which are: tangerine orange, mossy green and galaxy blue. We need strong graphics, and retro feel for the logo.Word LUNA needs to stand out from words Cafe & Mercantile.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty. Oranges: Creativity, adventure and happiness. Greens: Growth, harmony and success.

This was an amazing experience!! Green in blue listened to all my weird requests and was incredibly patient. She was able to put together a logo and brand that I am extremely happy with. The logo is exactly what I envisioned. I couldn't be happier with the final product!!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
