It's important that the audience know that this name is also the URL of the business, but since it's made up of many words, there should be some way to see each word clearly so that it's readable. And the ".com" on the end should be present, but an insignificant part of the design.
I want the feeling to be slightly playful, as the name itself is, but not too childish or "yelly" like the name could lend itself to. So not too serious, but still sophisticated and smart. This company is about personal expression and design, and the target is confident in their ability to design what they like, so they are likely a more design-oriented crowd.
Also, we have a long name and will have nearly 100% digital use of the logo, which means that we will probably need different orientations of the name....sometimes it will be needed in long horizontal spaces, like at the top of the webpage so we need a horizontal version...and sometimes we will need to fit inside a square and still be readable...so a stacked version.
The first several submissions have all been very literal, using a bed as part of the design. And I'm not opposed to that, but would prefer that it be either more abstract, or more "high design", sophisticated and edgy in some way. Also, it would be nice to see an idea or two that plays with the feeling imbedded in the name itself of ones mom telling them to "Go make your bed!"....I definitely do not want something that looks like a dialog bubble or anything that literal, but there might be a feeling, that doesn't look like it's yelling, but that captures that a bit. An energy.
Also a few early designs have hit something I like. The ".com" going up the side feels right, and I particularly like that it harkens an exclamation point, that feels right with the idea of a mother commanding her kid to "Go make your bed!". I don't want to look too literally like an exclamation point, but suggesting it subtly is working for me.
I haven't seen anything yet that captures the level of savvy and sophistication, while still being a little playful with the name, since the name itself is intended to be a little playful that i'm hoping for.
