Case Barnett Law
This is who our mascot is:
The mascot shares a common enemy with our clients. Their enemies are the insurance companies, the other side's insurance adjustors and the other side's attorneys.
By working with any other attorney, and not our guy, client's miss out on an experience of being protected from the insurance companies.
Client's have 3 questions. They are:
1. Why now?
2. Why is it important?
3. Why you?
The answers are:
Why now? Because if you decide to wait to hire an attorney the insurance company will do things to ruin your chances of getting the monetary award that you deserve. Often times clients learn these mistakes once it is too late. The attorney can protect them against the insurance company and the other attorneys.
Why is it important? There are many reasons here. The most obvious is that the client needs to receive justice. Our clients are injured because someone else was negligent and careless. Their life is forever changed, or taken, because of something they had no control over. The monetary award helps them to cover medical expenses and future care. The justice aspect is what keeps our communities safe and it keeps these tragic events from happening again to someone else. Laws and rules are passed in direct response to lawsuits. Our clients have died because of being abused in a nursing home. Our clients have suffered traumatic brain injuries because an employer didn't provide a safe work environment. Our client's have lost newborn babies because a staff member wasn't given the proper equipment to use in the hospital because of budget cuts. The insurance companies are taught to reject every single claim.... no matter what.
Why you? This is very important. How we are different than all the other attorneys:
-A huge percentage of attorneys are actually afraid to go to trial and they prefer to settle before this happens. We aren't afraid of going to trial.
-Many law firms are a mill. They take hundreds of cases. The client is a number. There is no customer service. The firm churns through cases as fast as possible just to make money. We are a boutique law firm. We only take cases that are special to us. We get to know our clients. We treat them like family. We learn their story and we tell that story in trial to a panel of jurors.
-We are organized and efficient. Our law firm is staffed with people who make up a very special team. We all work together to ensure the best results. If a case doesn't have clear liability or has issues we will get it settled asap to avoid the trauma of unnecessary litigation or work on the client's end.
-We are not just the middleman between the client and the insurance company. Our clients are treated differently when they hire us because we have a reputation with insurance adjustors and other attorneys.
He isn't like all the other mediocre attorneys who are afraid of trial.
I think that he is approachable. He is a beast in the courtroom but in society he is well-loved (basing this on my husband, Case). Since we are targeting past, present, and potential clients we definitely want him feel comfortable, approachable, funny, but like he could slay for them. We also always have to remember that jurors can find anything on the internet. So we don't want someone to see a bad message... ever.
He is a personal injury attorney. His hobbies include wrangling his wild children, being dominated by his pets, drinking coffee at 10 pm and working all night, reading legal books that would make the rest of the world fall asleep, shazaming music and making play lists, cooking pancakes, making up stories about dragons to help his toddler fall asleep, bbq'ing, eating pizza, traveling, visiting the beach, mastering the 5 minute cat nap and listening to acoustic guitar.
We are a personal injury law firm located in southern California. We specialize in brain injuries, auto accidents, premises liability, elder abuse and other types of accidents. Our target audience consists of people who have been injured in an accident. We represent the injured parties and fight for monetary awards for their injuries against insurance companies.
We are looking for a mascot/graphic/superhero/image for our law firm. It will be used on free books that are offered to potential clients and on other marketing materials and the website. Eventually we will use it on posters, t-shirts, e-books etc. The name "Case Barnett Law" should be included. The mascot should be based on an attorney who fights for justice for his clients. Our main practice areas (auto/commercial trucking accidents, brain injuries, elder abuse and wrongful death) may be represented in the drawing. Please see the images below since the character should look like Case Barnett. We live in Southern California. We would prefer the mascot to be more realistic than cartoon. We would also like the design to have a cool, laid back but powerful and strong vibe. We idolize how things were done back in the day. We respect old school attorneys and old school moral values in the practice of law. We want clients to feel comfortable with the legal process and our law firm but know that we are serious and strong in the courtroom.
Once we choose a winner for this contest we will likely do a one-on-one contest with the winner to design 7 small graphics for our free-ebook. Like this: the chosen mascot will be committing these 7 errors that clients make, which ruin their injury claim. The mistakes in the book are: #1 Failing to Take Critical Steps Immediately Following the Accident
· Failing to call the police
· Failing to collect evidence at the scene
· Failing to get detailed information at the crash site
#2 Failing to Seek Immediate Medical Attention
· Failing to follow up
· Failing to follow recommended treatment plan
· Missing appointments
#3 Admitting Fault
#4 Believing What the Insurance Company Tells You
· Never Provide a Recorded Statement for the Insurance Company
· Never Accept a Quick Settlement
· Never See a Doctor Recommended by the Insurance Company
#5 Posting on Social Media
· Posting Too Much Information
· Commenting About the Accident
· Posting Pictures of Recent Events or Activities
· Best Practices
#6 Waiting Too Long to Pursue a Claim
#7 Failing to Contact an Attorney
Attorney mascot characteristics:
-Should have similar appearance as Case Barnett, the owner of the firm (photo attached)
-edgy/old school
-powerful/strong
-approachable
-kind of tough but not angry
-not cutesy
-vintage/retro
-Cape or wings or whatever you associate with justice
-California flag
-Our law firm logo (file attached)
-Graphic or words that represent justice
-Clearly show that we are personal injury attorneys
We want people to see the graphic and say "that's an attorney I want to hire." Or... "that is a book I want to download." The graphic is being used in all marketing seeking to get us new clients.
We want it to be more clear that we are personal injury lawyers. I uploaded the Romeo and Juliet poster because I've always loved the feel of that piece. The vintage movie posters are a visual/style inspiration.
Boston Legal poster, Case Barnett has a long family lineage in the legal profession and believes strongly in the constitution of the United States. He believes in fighting for justice and for his clients. Clients are our law firms number one priority and we strive to provide better customer service than any other law firm. Our current brand colors are neutrals, blacks, whites, grays, browns etc. We are not opposed to color though.
