suebndr got their new icon or button by running a design contest:
Create an online badge credential for the Event Leadership Institute

The Event Leadership Institute (ELI) provides progressive education, training and thought leadership for event professionals through online, on-demand video classes, instructor-led courses, webinars, white papers, ebooks and live events. Class topics include event strategy and ROI, audio-visual technology, lighting and design, insurance, fundraising, entrepreneurship, and more. To learn more about ELI, please visit our site at www.eventleadershipinstitute.com.
What's your vision?
We would like to develop a series of online badges that students receive upon successful completion of an instructor-led, curriculum based professional development course. This online credential would be easily uploaded by students to display via their social media networks (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) as well as within an email signature, or on their website, etc. In regards to the style, we prefer a more professional look and feel rather than the trendy badges received through gamification sites such as FourSquare which tend to have a cartoonish appeal. This is NOT the direction we want to go. Our audience is looking to distinguish themselves among their peers through educational resources and therefore the badges should have an extremely high quality, professional, polished look. Currently we have three courses that require badges with the potential for more, though we'll want to issue multiple variations on the same badge format. Or, in other words the badge should have the same basic look and we will interchange text for credential and/or icon. See attached sample (we like top right image of man at podium). Please note the icons do not have to be b/w… just a sample of what we like. Within the design, we would like to see in smaller font "Click to verify" so that viewers know that the badge is an active link (See Google sample badge). For details about each of the courses visit our site http://www.eventleadershipinstitute.com/pdc.aspx. We would like to use the Event Leadership Logo in the badges as well as branded colors. Enclosed is the official logo in Ai as well as samples of other badges that we find appealing. Please pull EXACT colors from the logo. Also noted here in attachment.
