BeehiveID is a way to make sure online accounts are created by real people and not bots or people trying to game the system. BeehiveID ensures a website doesnt' have duplicate accounts (used to get multiple versions of a free tier and avoid paying) and we identify fake accounts created by people intending to use stolen credit cards or commit some other kind of fraud.
It’s opt-in and provides strong identification while preserving privacy. The basic idea is that people who know they are going to use a stolen credit card or do something fraudulent online will create a shallow, fake account and keep their real online identity safe for personal use. We detect those fake accounts really quickly and really well.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I need a new "hero graphic" for the website front page. We are about to launch a variation of our product that is based on taking a selfie instead of using social accounts and we need to let people know about it. I have ideas but you are free to be creative, the only hard requirement is that the graphic needs to fit into the style and theme of the existing site.
I"m just looking for one graphic to replace the shadow-wolf-sheep image currently in use.
I uploaded one concept but another would have people with brown paper bags over their faces to represent that you don't know who your customers are - all you have is an email address. Our new "selfie authentication" allows users to send a selfie of themselves to verify their identity on a site. It's always optional and unlike challenge questions or sending in an official ID or document, we don't need to know anything about you or your personal life.
Our users are people in fraud prevention or risk prevention departments of large websites or founders/owners/operators of smaller sites. They are concerned with fraud - once a site gets to any reasonable degree of popularity they get bombarded with fake accounts, scams and stuff like that. They are concerned with fraud but they are even more concerned with the friction that most fraud prevention methods introduce. Every time to ask a user to click or do *anything* some number of them will just leave the site. They would rather have some fraud than lose customers that way.
Competitors are companies like Threatmetrix, iOvation, Socure, Trulioo and Trustev
I don't want the logo in the graphic because it's already in the header and seems repetitive to me.
I've attached a mock up of one concept, but my design skills are crap so don't feel like it has to look like that. I also uploaded an example of how it works (girl sending us a selfie for identification). If you need additional or different photos of the girl in the selfie, let me know and I'll upload more. She can take more photos if you want something different.
