Stylish illustration of Girl & Boy

I’m doing a folder for a client who is a “think-tank”. Their audience for this folder are high school students ages 14-15 years.

I’m doing the layout of a folder for my client and would need your help with the cover illustration. The dimensions of the cover will be: width 210 mm, height 297 mm. The purpose of this folder is to teach the students the value of planning their economic situation and how to make a budget plan for their upcoming years of studying. This is partly done by using the example of two different people, a boy and a girl. The boy is wasting his money and also borrows money just to spend it. He has no plan whatsoever for the future. He is careless, sloppy and negligent. The girl is planning for her future and is organizing ways to earn money and invest it so that she can secure her future studies. She is sound, proper, neat and orderly. Your challenge will be to create an illustration of the boy and the girl to fit on the front cover of the folder. I have an idea of a “Manga style” illustration since I think it’s quite popular within the audience age group. But please feel free to try other concepts if you prefer. The two most important things here are that 1) the illustration will be appealing to the audience age group (children 14-15 years). 2) the nature of each character is visible in the illustration. Since my client is in a hurry I will start with the layout of the folder right away so I’ll be starting this without having the illustration for the front cover. Because of this I have a color palette (5 colors) that I hope you can use for the illustration. You don’t have to limit yourself to these 5 colors. You could add colors as you need but it’s good if my pallette could be included in a major way in the illustration. I’m attaching an Illustrator file (dream challenge colors) with the 5 colors here for you.

I will need the artwork to be delivered as an Illustrator CMYK file (.ai) and compatible with ADOBE CS 5.5. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have :-)
