Story to tell in the infographic
Current attendees of live sports and entertainment events are getting older, spending less money, and attending less often. Therefore, it is imperative to reach a younger audience, who are just beginning their earning potential, and have proven the "access over ownership" business models viable. One of the keys: attracting millennials and young professionals, who grew up in an always-connected world with new expectations for how they access the culture they care about. From streaming content to online shopping to on-demand vehicles, technology drives all avenues of their lives, including live entertainment. We want to explore these new expectations and how our new types of mobile access attract this audience to live sports and entertainment events, by making the following points: 1. Current attendees are older, spend less $, and attend less often 2. Millennials are key because they are younger, just beginning spending habits, and have proven “access over ownership” model viable 3. We have new types of mobile products that attract millennials, increase their spend, increase their attendance Our target audience: Both men and women between the ages of 40 and 55 who at CXO level, SVP level, and Director level at live sports and entertainment organizations Values to communicate with your design: should be professional while fun, classy but not too cutesy, prove our technological leadership while being approachable, speak to the sports/entertainment teams while keeping the fans in mind. :) Stylistic preferences: push the creativity, but keep our values in mind.

Attract the Next Generation of Fans Millennials and young professionals grew up in an always-connected world with new expectations for how they access the culture they care about. From streaming content to online shopping to on-demand vehicles, technology drives all avenues of their lives, including live entertainment. Let’s take a closer look and see how Experience can help you attract this next generation of fans. 44 yrs old - avg. attendee age (# average age of current attendees to live sports, concerts, arts, theater, and entertainment is rising 44* → was 43 in 2012) Source: LiveAnalytics Millennials are younger (18-34) → Born between 1980 to 1996, and therefore, grew up with email, Internet, and smartphones 5% drop in spend (# average annual spend on entertainment* has dropped 5% - $2,482 in 2013, $2,605 in 2012) → Source: Bureau of Labor and Statistics Millennials are beginning earning potential → In or recently graduated from college, starting their careers and how they spend money 19% drop in attendance (# attendance to live events in US has dropped 19% → 62% of US attended 1+ event 2012*, 50% of US attended 1+ event 2014) Source: LiveAnalytics Meanwhile, "Access" to culture has proved new businesses viable: whether subscription access to movies (Netflix) and music (Spotify), or last-minute access to hotels (HotelTonight) and golf (Golf Now). Imperative to find a younger audience, beginning their spending habits, who expect new types of access Mobile-dependant → 87% of millennials say their phone never leaves their side, day or night Source: Zogby Analytics Our Solution: Our live sports and entertainment access splits two ways: subscription access (Experience Pass®) via mobile tickets and last-minute access (Experience Pass® One) via text message. Experience Pass allows fans to pay for a mobile subscription to live events and attend when their schedule allows. Live sports and entertainment guarantee access to the event, but deliver new seat locations at every event depending on available inventory. Experience Pass One is the only standby ticket in live events. Live sports and entertainment organizations build a list of new audience members who want to attend events at the last minute and don’t mind where they sit. When last-minute tickets become available, fans receive a text message alert and can purchase access directly from their phone. # 60% of Pass buyers are between 18 and 34 years old # 50 to 80% of Pass buyers are brand new to the partner’s database # 9X - Pass buyers attend 9X as many live events as the same subset of buyers who do not use our products (increasing in-venue revenue on food and beverage, parking, merchandise - 9X) # 23% of Pass buyers also pay for additional seat upgrades on their mobile phone
