I tried to emulate the vintage style mascot that a lot of streetwear brands like Johnny Cupcakes use to illustrate this rice bowl guy. I can easily see him on the back of a t-shirt, embroidered into a hat, printed as a sticker, stamped into the side of a to-go container, and painted as a mural in the restaurant.

Client asked for a new logo to complement current logo, which had a rounded serif font using quote marks as a part of the main design. I took those concepts and used a jelly bean mascot to put a play on the 'beans.' Quote marks were used for the jelly bean's arms. Overall, the logo is more approachable.
