dianatry got their new logo & brand guide by running a design contest:
Looking for a sleek, attractive and minimalist design for a coffee shop

Food & Drink
We offer specialty coffee in the city of Clermont-Ferrand in France. We believe our target audience is either sensitive to the coffee culture or has been exposed to the anglo-saxon culture and is looking for a similar product in town as it does not really exist yet.
Other color requirements
See picture attached of the facade of the window store. We would be renting in a historical building and the facade needs to stay blue. Thinking we should use blue but really open to your suggestions.
We want the logo and brand ID to reflect the story of the owners. We are a French couple living in Clermont Ferrand with our two kids, but before moving back to France, we spent 17 years in NYC. We lived in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn where our children were born, so we would like to use a pictogram of a Brooklyn brownstone in the logo if possible. The reason why we wanted to open a coffee shop is because we are coffee lovers and we cannot find something similar to what we know (and were used to): a cozy place managed by a very friendly and genuine staff, where we can sit, connect with people and feel at home. Also opening such a shop is a tribute to our home and life in NYC while embracing our new life in this smaller town in the center of France. It is an experience we would like to share with like minded people. Our ultimate goal is to create a community around some of the things we are passionate about: sustainability/slow consumption, design, and of course coffee. We are looking for a sleek yet minimalist design for a coffee shop which will be located in a street full of galleries, antique shops, surrounded by artists/creative people, near one of the main attractions of the city, the cathedral. One thing to know: the paint of the window of the coffee shop HAS TO be navy blue because it is in a historical building and it will be a lengthy and complicated process for us to make a change unfortunately. See photo of window shop attached. The inside would be white walls against terra-cotta hexagon tiles, and wood beams on the ceiling. We would decorate with lots of plants and vintage furniture, preferably in wood, marble, metal and glass. We will avoid plastic and will use eco-friendly construction material as much as possible during the renovation of the space.
