Salt Flakes is the catering arm of an existing company. We are targeting existing cafe and espresso bar owners to offer them a new innovative supplier of Cakes, Slices, Savoury Options

What’s the brief? Design a logo (word, pictorial or abstract) for a boutique wholesale cake and savoury supplier in Brisbane. Background This is a new venture. We are going to create a boutique and unique brand. Our brand position is that we are a small, bespoke creator of local handcrafted cakes and savouries for the hospitality industry. We are looking to create an iconic, sophisticated logo which is recognisable and unique. Audience Café and Restaurant owners. These people are very stressed, have limited time or capacity to develop and explore new concepts and suppliers. These discerning demographic subset seek professionalism, reliability and value. What do you want done? Key requirements? Creation of a full colour vector based logo, which embodies the brand, as well as being flexible enough to be scalable and reduced (i.e. broken up to separate the pictorial or abstract elements – those elements must be able to stand by themselves in brand identity) . The logo must be able to be reversed (i.e. black and white, as well as colour). Key colours of the brand is wood, black and White/ cream. Some colour is welcome in the logo, however it must be subtle. We currently have 3 other cafes and a florist so we want the visual language of the logo to be in the same style as the other logos.
