Food & Drink
We are a mobile cafe specialising in artisan food and drink; especially loose leaf teas but also gourmet sandwiches, seasonal soups and healthy snacks. Our business will be based in an old Citroen H Van which will be sprayed all black with tan leather or brown coloured details such as the roof etc. The design and colour inspiration came from a Herschel back pack which I've included in the pictures below. I've also included some interior inspiration to give you an idea of the interior design we are looking to use (exposed brick, real wood counters etc.). What we are looking to create is top quality convenience food with a strong focus on local produce and organic and seasonal ingredients where possible (and of course a strong focus on beautiful and original design!). We are also only selling loose leaf teas and no coffee as another way to bring something different and healthy to our customers. As far as design is concerned I want you to think more along the lines of an independent clothing label design as opposed to traditional coffee shop/restaurant design. The van itself is going to be parked near art galleries and arthouse cinemas etc. and we will also be looking to do festivals and so on. It sounds a bit cliche but the target audience are probably trendy, fashion conscious culture seekers who no doubt shop in the independent side of town; boutiques, vintage clothes shops, pop up restaurants and so on. It's for people who are sensitive to design, appreciate quality and are looking for interesting ideas as opposed to the humdrum of everyday business. If I could sum it up in one word it would be quality. Everything will be done with a loving attention to detail. It's for people who appreciate that kind of thing and also love good food and a nice cup of tea!! Finally, I like clean design. Nothing too crowded or busy and really the simpler the better. However, I am open to your suggestions and would appreciate any ideas you think might fit the concept. As a thought (and sorry for repeating myself) I'd like for you too imagine the logo looking equally good on the side of a van as it would on a t-shirt...the focus is very much the design and not necessarily trying to fit in to the typical idea of a coffee shop logo etc. As I said before just think quality!! Anyway, thanks for your help and interest and I look forward to seeing what you come up with :) Good luck!
Logo types to explore
Our business will have a strong focus on quality design and so your help is really appreciated. We will be looking to have other things designed at a later date as well (website, business cards etc.) and so the winning designer will be our first choice for any future work. Good luck and thanks for your interest!!
