Australian Nursing & Training Services (ANTS) needs a new logo

"Tell me I forget, show me I remember, let me do it and I understand!"
AN&TS known as ANTS widely, is a small business that works mainly for the community. We train aged care and disability nurses and assistants in nursing. We have been running for 23 years and started the first proper A.I.N training in Australia. Our name abbreviates to AN&TS We have always had the same logo I designed by drawing it on the computer. It is an ant with a nurses hat on. I used the colors green and gold (orangy gold) due to Australian colors. I incorporated a slogan as above to demonstrate that you can not train someone in a classroom by telling them things as well as you can by showing them and assisting them to practically do tasks. We are the only practical training out there and students have 1: 1 training on real patients on real wards. This enables them to get the best possible training via their own NURSE COACH and I recently have included these words "nurse coach" in our advertising. You may want to play around with this and or the slogan. My original idea was to have an ant with the nurses hat on as well as a few arms, holding things like a book (signifies knowledge and training), a needle, a bed pan and a stethoscope. I like the original concept of the letters ANTS in the triangle but willing to look at other design ideas. I will forward a copy of our current logo. I also need one for ''Help On Wheels" which is a new division I am starting in a couple of weeks. I already have designed a nurse for this which will do for now, but wonder if I get both done at once if it could be cheaper. We do not make a profit and have little money to spend, but really need this now for new division and web site. Help On Wheels is an agency providing the elderly ill and disabled with carers, nurses, domestics, handymen, gardeners and social escorts. I want a logo incorporating these (at least the nurse, cleaner, handiman) driving in a car. I think we may even need two versions of each as when needing a small version say for letterheads, as it is hard to see the ant and expect would be the same for the 3 or4 characters for the Help On Wheels one. The bigger one would be used for such items as web site, tee shirts, brochure and flyers. A smaller one for letterheads, badges and professional proposals letters etc. I hope you can help me with this for the same price, or have one that will minimize yet still be clear. I also need to put the address, phone, web, email and fax details on a version, but not needed on all things. Same re the slogan. Need it on some things but not others. I assume all this is included in the price, and pray it costs no extra. I have run this business for 23 years with no government funding or donations. I do it for the community and spent 6 years developing the course curriculum to raise the standard of care given to our elderly and disabled, as there was no training at all for A.I.N's or carers back then. I was very successful and I managed to have this certificate made a requirement for employment in the industry. It is now called Certificate 3 and 4 in aged care and or disability. Many people have pinched my idea and set up competition against me and we are sinking. This is my final attempt to boost business by doing more on line and via social networks. During my Registered Nursing training in the 1980's I had a needle stick injury which led to hepatitis and recently liver failure. This terminal illness caused compounding business problems when I could no longer keep my finger on the pulse of the smooth running. I was blessed and received a liver transplant in March 2012 from which I am still recovering, but now back at work. Most people in my case would sell up or shut down and just worry about themselves in their short time left on earth. I instead have decided to finish achieving my original goals. They were 1. Establish proper training for people caring for our loved ones in nursing homes etc. I have done that. No2. To establish a nursing agency that also caters for any other need of frail, elderly or disabled people in our community. Other agencies have just nurses, or just cleaners. Our agency carers will do any task from assisting with medications, personal care, washing, vacuuming, gardening, washing the curtains etc. to escorting clients to Doctors appointments or the opera! It is really needed in our community. Our staff will also be privy to ongoing training workshops and be able to add to their expertize and qualifications via our public workshops on many educational subjects. This means our already hand picked staff will be technically trained in their chosen fields of expertize which will help them grow as well as benefit the clients. In my background as a nursing matron I have witnessed very poor care of some clients in the community as well as some facilities and as I have already helped to raise the standard of care given via my training courses, this takes it a step further to supply the best carers around! This is my new division Help On Wheels abbreviated and used on logo and advertizing as "HOW" I have been working around the clock (sometimes from my bed) to set this up and it is finally ready to roll. I just need the logo to incorporate in my marketing. I want to start trading in a couple of weeks and have staff and clients waiting. HOW and ANTS will work in synch with each other and the graduates from our training will be able to gain work immediately. This will hopefully make enough profit to keep the training side going. I hope you do not mind my sharing all of this as I think if your designers understand the concept and my plight, they may be inspired to do a great job and help us. I also hope you can assist us at the best price. I am not asking for a donation, just a fair deal. I am happy to not only recommend your services but also do a cross link on our web site which is already high on the search engines. My 23 years of business contacts may assist you all. PLEASE NOTE LAST ADDITION TO EXAMPLES OF LOGOS I UPLOADED FOR YOU TO SEE HAS OUR CURRENT COMPANY DETAILS. THE FILE IS CALLED UPDATED COMPANY DETAILS. THE MOBILE PHONE NUMBER FOR "HOW" IS NOT YET AVAILABLE AND I WILL FORWARD AS SOON AS REGISTERED. IGNORE OTHER DETAILS AS HAS CHANGED MANY TIMES. Thank you in anticipation of your cooperation and inspired designs. Tracey Jones Director
Logo types to explore
Character type pics are ok. I have included some pics we use and some ideas seen. The ANTS has to have an ant and may hold nursing items. The HOW one needs to show we are mobile, like a car whizzing along with a nurse and a cleaner and a handiman in it.
