Buttermilk got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Buttermilk - a hip but comfortable Southern food restaurant in San Francisco
Check out Buttermilk's Logo design contest…
Food & Drink
This is for a restaurant located in a trendy area of San Francisco featuring cuisine from the Southern part of the US (fried chicken, gravy, mashed potatoes, grits, pies, gumbo,... comfort food). We want to draw a mixed crowd, there will be some hipsters, but also regular folk. We want the logo to portray both the traditional and comforting aspect of Southern food but with an updated, modern touch.
Logo types to explore
"Buttermilk" is the main word to be featured in the logo. "Southern Kitchen" should appear below and much smaller.

We love the work that Code Red did for our lawn and landscaping business! The designer did an AMAZING job -it was the exact look we were going after to achieve and was very prompt in answering questions and providing revisions. Kudos to a job well done!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
