Atelier Kids
Childcare Centre
We are a Reggio-inspired childcare centre serving families with children from birth to 4 years old. Our target audience is young professional working urban couples with one or two kids between the ages of 0 and 4 years old. Also the word atelier means art studio or workshop in French. Incorporating an element in the emblem that looks like a brush stroke... watercolour or acrylic or chalk in the swirl with multi colours is what we would like to explore.
I am torn between using more earthy tones or bright colours. I would like to see 5 colours in the emblem but stay away from pastels and pinks and purples. Lets focus on orange..yellows .. .reds.. and blues.
I have already come up with the lettering for the logo (see below) but I need help on the emblem. I want to incorporate some sort of swirl or circle to connote the process of learning or process of creativity which is never linnear but rather circular. I want it to have many colours in it - perhaps 5 or more - but it must have orange, yellow and aqua ... with perhaps some red and dark blue to round it out. I want to have two lines... the first line is the name (Atelier Kids) and the second name is (Childare Centre). You will see the work that has been done thus far and we just need to incorporate a new emblem. The logo must look good in black and white and colour. It must also be able to use on a large sign in front of the building. I like the idea of using brush strokes or soft colours that overlap. I am not sure which of the ideas below I like the best but I tend to like having many colours in the emblem.
