Hands on Learning Center
Reader’s Grove is a Learning and Exploration Center which was designed to promote active involvement and constructive interaction among children. We offer a hands-on approach to learning and children are encouraged to explore their creativity, independence, problem solving skills, muscle development, and self-help skills. We are committed to helping children cultivate literacy through developmentally appropriate practices and high quality curriculum based instruction. In our commitment to literacy development, our attention is focused on engaging children in reading and communication experiences. We want children to feel comfortable and confident in their growing abilities as readers and writers and they are actively involved throughout the day in all aspects of the program. We also use a themed based educational program to introduce skills and concepts that provide ideas for daily and weekly lesson planning. Each classroom is associated with a season and named after a unique illustrated character. Our Exploration and Discovery Center offers a number of creative, extracurricular activities that allow the children access to programs outside of the classroom. These activities are split into specialty regions that focus on: Science, Horticulture, Art, Entertainment, Nutrition, and Career Training.
Logo types to explore
We want to incorporate an illustrated design in our logo. A very rough sketch of the main character (Willow) will be attached. If possible, this character should be utilized. Feel free to tweak and improve the sketch if you need to. We want something like wood art. Not too childish but not too serious either. He should look friendly not scary. Detail is key here. If you have your own design that you feel would work please submit your idea. We would like to see a willow tree in the design though. Something young and animated looking. The tone of the design should be energetic, imaginative, fun, loving, and creative. The choice is up to you. I will be available for feedback if you need more direction.
