Nick An got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create an awesome avatar logo for my blog :)

Food & Drink
This will be a blog dedicated to parents that have children with severe food allergies. This blog will be a place for them to find advice for life, recipes, and other tips for living with severe food allergies.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Pinks: Intimacy, love, calm and nurture.
I would like the logo to actually be an caricature/avatar of a woman. It would be great if she could have a cape with the universal medical logo on it (think super-woman). Maybe a cooking spoon in one hand and a recipe book in the other. A smile on her face, but also determined. Long dark hair. Fun, happy, etc. This will be the main point of focus for the top spot of the website, so it has to be good as it will be a large logo. IGNORE THE FACT THAT THE SKETCH SAYS FOOD ALLERGY DAD. The website will be FoodAllergyMom.com and I want a woman for the logo.

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Nick An collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
