We did not want to lead designers too much in the brief in order to get a wide array of submissions.
Journally submitted a design (following his own research) which incorporates the global Diabetes logo/symbol and also graps the support aspect of our charitable group.
He was also very proactive in providing not only the requested revisions but went above and beyond supplying images of how the logo would look in t shirts and other promotional material in a very timely fashion.

Guythority is a new brand of innovative skin care and hair care made exclusively for men. Products are formulated with unique ingredients and make use of the latest technology in personal care. Prices range from $3 to $58 so we have to target a more sophisticated client. Also, we are slated to sell our products in department stores in a few countries so we must adequately convey our value within a department store's competitive landscape. We will sell directly to clients, but we will also sell to other retailers, spas and salons.

We want to convey our expertise in men's grooming and our value with our high-end products so we don't want any childish design elements. Retro is fine as long as it is stylish and sophisticated. Men have to feel comfortable and confident with purchasing, as well as the women that may buy for them.
