james CV got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create an INSPIRING geometric logo for a NEW organic/spiritual product line
Check out james CV's Logo design contest…
We are a partnership who are launching a new organic product line, to include a CD Coaching Course (for individuals with ADHD, Addictions, and other problems affecting their personal growth) which this logo may be on the cover of in addition to being highlighted on our website. Most of our clients and customers have a deep interest in SPIRITUALITY, ORGANIC FOODS, NATURAL PRODUCTS, PSYCHOLOGY, and healthy holistic living in general (Mind-Body-Spirit). So everything from psychologists, to fitness enthusiasts, to hippies =)
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Purples: Imagination, spirituality, royalty and luxury. Greens: Growth, harmony and success. Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
We would like to use psychology to a great extent in our logo. It should be playful, mysterious, and invoke curiosity. Above all it should incorporate geometric symmetry, from the background, to the central human image, to the object on top and below. We are fairly certain what we want, but we just need a good artist to make it all come together =). Below are the main features: A. In the center we would like a human figure in a "meditation posture", with a golden/white burst of energy emanating upward like a cone spotlight from it's head. In symmetry with this below we would like tree-like roots crawling out from the bottom of the human figure to balance it out symmetrically. B. As geometric symmetry has an attractive calming and somewhat hypnotic effect, we would like the background to be that of a "mandala" design like the second image below with lighter colors turning into darker shades as the image radiates out as in the attached image. The mandala pattern does not have be the same as the example, this is just to give you an idea. C. As this project is using the name "indigo revolution", we thought it would be best to use shades of indigo/violet/purple primarily. Surprise us with the font on the word "indigo" which we'd like above the logo (as well as a mixture of caps, lower case, etc with both words). Below the logo we thought of using a "play on words" or double meaning with the word "revolution" perhaps using a metallic-like font for the e-v-o-l-u-t-i-o-n part of the word, and perhaps using a different color (maybe red?) and/or font for the letter "R" in front. This way the eye would catch that this product is indeed "revolutionary" but ALSO that we are contributing to the "evolution" in consciousness about the mind-body-spirit connection. A circular design would make most sense, though we plan to use this logo without the words as well for brand recognition in the future. We are using the following website template to introduce this logo, so if it could go along with one of the predefined color schemes that would be an added plus (there is a purple color they use that would match the color contrast in the mandala design from light purple to deep indigo. Many Blessings... James
