Food & Drink
A website in development for wine lovers. This website emphasizes wine education - with terms and definitions specific to this industry, articles and tutorials that are designed to interest and educate newbies as well as seasoned pros.
Logo types to explore
The example logo was the closest thing to a "frog" footprint we could find. Our first inclinations were to have a logo around a cartoon-like, full-body frog but when googling we found that there is one graphic artist in France that has (almost) a monopoly on cute frog images like this. We are very aware of copyright problems - so while we are not against a full-body frog-like image in the logo - it is hard to see how it could be different enough to avoid confusion (and hence copyright problems) with all the frog images found on the Internet. As a result, we went to Plan B and thought a part of a frog body would work as well - as you can see with the example logo, it is something like a frog footprint on a leaf. The graphic designer whose logo we pick will be asked to come up with a series of related images that can be used throughout the website. For example, there might be a "frog" image of some sort associated with the neck of a wine bottle that we could use in a wine review section, or there could be a "frog" related image that we would use in any wine term definition. As a result, logos were we could see a series of these related images developed around will be given greater weight. There have not been colors chosen for the website yet, so feel free to incorporate your own choices. To get an idea as to how the website will look, see some of our sister websites at http://www.techopedia.com and http://www.kinkly.com. These sites use the same Bootstrap-based design and layout. Note the shape and size of the logos from these sites - the same template will be used on the new WineFrog.com website, so the proportions, rough size etc. should be similar.
