Food & Drink
Twisted Piper is a baked goods company, with delectable frostings (pipings) that make our confectionaries stand out among the rest. We will be selling our desserts online and in store. Target audience is a dessert lover who wants to be unique and loves quality ingredients.
Logo types to explore
“Twisted” is part of the overall company name. It has history, some local recognition and linked to “Piper”gains more clarity and strength. What is it about the “Twisted” products everyone raves (notice “rave” is in “crave”) about? Undeniably, it’s the “frosting”! The “frosting” is key, but we are really not just about the frosting either! And, we can’t get so literal and limiting! The name alludes to the frosting but has enough metaphorical play allowing creativity. So, “Piper” works well with “Twisted” and alludes to the “frosting” and has enough metaphorical play allowing us to be creative. The use of “frosting” is too literal and like “crave” can be used in copy and descriptive language along with visuals. What is the process for placing frosting on any baked product”? It’s called “Piping”, defined – (n) - ornamentation on food consisting of lines of icing, whipped cream, etc. “How is “Piping” done”? “Piping Bakery Bags” are used to decorate bakery products. “Piping” is the process; a “Piper” is one who does the “Piping”. Images and ideas now should begin to formulate! Just a few things to think about… • “Piper” and “Pipers can be used as product names. “Just Pop a Piper”! “Just Pop one of our Pipers”! “Salted Carmel Piper”, “Lemmon Coconut Piper”, “Chocolate Peanut Butter Piper”, etc. • The “Piper” can also be a company character and part of our story. Not unlike the “Pied Piper”, our “Piper” will bring the masses to crave our delicious “Pipers” (“Piper” products). Imagine on the truck, “Follow the Piper” (play on the character and the product)! Huge social media play! • “Twisted” linked to “Piper” gains more clarity and strength. “Twisted” connotes something outside of the ordinary, but it also visually represents what the “frosting” looks like when “piping”. If you let you mind wander, you will understand what I mean and all the possibilities. The most important fact is we have created our own category! WE are “Pipers”, not “cookies”, not “cupcakes”, and not just “frosting”. “PIPERS”! The logo needs to conjure images of ‘Piping”, “Frosting”, the “Piper” character, the “Piper” products to help create our, identity of who and what we are, our brand. www.TwistedPiper.com
