D.B.M. delivered exactly what I needed. The design they created was the perfect blend of my specific requests and the designer's artistic talents. I would absolutely work with D.B.M. in the future.

We had a fairly nuanced Brief for a logo that could also be a trail marker. FishDzn had a great idea to focus on a symbol that cut across all our Trail users (mtn bikers, hikers, skiers): a good pack! He also gave use two other memes: a compass to high-light outdoorsy-ness and a map to give us some location awareness. Hey: Vancouver Island! Handover of the design was also very smooth. Thanks, FishDzn!

I don't think this happens often but the winner ended up being one of the first designs submitted. We knew right away that it was a great logo for our business. We liked the clean lines and the eye catching coordination of the design. We loved that the name of our restaurant popped. This design is versatile and ageless. The designer was good to work with and was quick to make the changes we requested. The designer was also willing to try some variations and didn't complain when we didn't keep them. All in all, a good experience with this designer.

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a craft brewery and taproom in the Five Points neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. We only sell the beer we make through our onsite taproom. Our brewery focuses on a 21-50 (or so) year old, predominantly male demographic. We want to be identified with the Five Points neighborhood and it's rich jazz history. We'd like to evoke the cool, smokey vibe of an old jazz hangout while still being welcoming to Denver's young, hip crowd. Our brewery is named Spangalang Brewery (spangalang is one of the most common and iconic background cymbal rhythms in jazz).

Logo types to explore

We are looking for a circular icon (or something that fits well in circular spaces). We already have a logo with our name (which I'm including). Our brewery is in a plaza that already has an old icon type logo incorporated into a lot of features (also included). We'd like a modern interpretation of that icon that goes with the other logo that we've already designed (and its colors). We've draw a lot of inspiration from old jazz album covers (and will be using some as wall art). The colors for our current logo come directly from John Coltrane's "Blue Train" album cover. The colors don't necessarily have to be the same, they just need to work together.
