amyudelson got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design a classic agricultural logo for Oakfield Apparatus
Check out amyudelson's Logo design contest…
Oakfield Apparatus manufactures equipment to take soil samples to test soil fertility and other issues. Products include soil probes, augers, sampling tubes, hay samplers, sweep nets, and other outdoor equipment that is incredibly easy to use and carry. We have been in business over 70 years! Our tools are used by farmers, gardeners, agronomists, geologists, universities, agricultural consultants, landscapers, and other soil scientists. Our customers aren’t technically savvy and the logo shouldn't be too modern or abstract. Everything should be simple, clear, straightforward, trustworthy, and value oriented.
Other color requirements
We like green and brown. Green on the top part to signify above ground / plants/ fields, etc. and brown on the bottom part to signify soil.
Logo Direction 1: Oakfield in green and Apparatus in brown with smaller letters (maybe 1/2 size) and a horizontal line in between them to denote the soil line (to symbolize oakfield is above ground and apparatus is the soil under the earth). Then there could be a plant icon or an oak leaf icon incorporated on the top somehow. Logo Direction 2: Sideways oak leaf so the middle line of the leaf signifies the soil line. The leaf is two colors, green on the top part and brown on the bottom part. Oakfield Apparatus is beneath the icon with 'Apparatus' 1/2 the size of Oakfield.
