Food & Drink
Our Argentine Asado (flame and charcoal grilling / cooking) business needs a distinctive new logo to re-brand and launch a digital online presence across website, social media etc. What is an Asado? Huge herds of wild cattle and sheep roamed much of the pampa regions of Argentina until the mid-nineteenth century. Inhabitants of the Río de la Plata, especially the equestrian gaucho, developed a tradition and fondness for meat, especially asado, which is roasted beef or lamb or goat. The meat, often a side of ribs or a whole lamb or goat and even suckling pig, is skewered on a metal frame called an asador and is roasted by placing it next to a slow-burning fire. The asado take many hours to prepare and cook. It’s a spectacle of grand proportions and a social gathering for all around the fire and shared tables. Target audience - Australia: People who appreciate wine and food (especially meat) and are prepared to pay for a unique food experience. (Eg. Tasting Australia events, corporate functions, winery events, weddings, private parties etc.)
Key elements / Thematics: • Must include name (Argie Asado) • Ideally reference to fire, coals, knives etc. (see examples above) • Potential to incorporate a Gaucho silhouette (black silhouette with beret and red neck scarf) • DO NOT use asador (metal cross) or animals/raw meat Font: Modern interpretation of the traditional Spanish ‘fileteado’ style (see references)
