don yH got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design the New Logo for Betsy's Best, a delicious line of Gourmet Nut and Seed Butters
Check out don yH's Logo design contest…
Food to Fall For (Note: The slogan will not be used on the packaging label, so the logo needs to work with and without the slogan. The logo with he slogan will be used on the website and other marketing materials.)
Food & Drink
We make and sell sophisticated, elegant and fun all-natural gourmet nut and seed butters that are really tasty. (Peanut butter, almond butter, sunflower seed butter and cashew butter.) A key consideration is that our founder - Betsy - does NOT like boring. Our target audience is healthy moms, gourmet foodies, and the athletic/fitness crowd (age 30-50, above average income, skewed towards women.) See attached logo project brief, picture of current peanut butter jar, current logo, and lid stickers. (Lid stickers give a good sense of our desired color scheme by prodt type (SKU).
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: The shade of Pink (as described in the attached product brief is our preferred color for the logo font. Black is an alternative font color. The font and color must be consistent for all of our products. The packaging labels will be using highlighter pen, bright colors as the background color (for example, Peanut Butter will have the exact same pink as the background color, Almond butter will have a yellow background, Seed butter - orange, Cashew butter - green.) Let designers make suggestions: The logo will need to work with these varied background colors. Placing the logo inside of some type of border/shape, etc that pos off/stands out vs the background color could be explored.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
don yH collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Would I work with Nigel again?
Yes. Nigel was very responsive, understood my brief and delivered/suggested solutions that my team loved.
Did he provide any outstanding service?
Nigel followed up after the contest to make sure I had no problems with the files and even created a "how to" movie to make sure I could edit minor text changes.
I hope to work with him again. He brought my idea to life.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
