Briefing for the “SPEEDAP”-Logo 1. Description of our company (TUNAP) a. What products / services do we offer? TUNAP (www.tunap.com) is an international manufacturer of aerosols and active ingredients for industrial, technical and cosmetic applications. Research, development, production and sales from a single source: TUNAP offers standard solutions up to customer-specific product concepts including legal processing (chemical compliance). In the private brand industry, TUNAP works with well-known customers from the technical, retail and chemical trade. b. What is the history of our company? Founded in 1974. TUNAP is now one of the largest European manufacturers of aerosols and is an innovation leader in numerous areas. TUNAP has been a reliable and competent partner in the fields of fats, oils and pastes for the industry since the 1970s. TUNAP has played a pioneering role in products for use in vehicle workshops for decades and is a technology leader with chemical-technical systems for cleaning fuel systems. c. What message should our company convey? - With products for a wide range of industries and areas of application, TUNAP improves people's daily lives. - We inspire our customers with intelligent product concepts, applications and service of the highest quality. - With customer-specific solutions, we make our contribution to personal well-being, health and resource conservation. o Top price-performance ratio o Premium quality o Sustainable resource planning d. Our company slogan? - TUNAP works. 2. Description of the project a. Why do we need a logo for our brand SPEEDAP? - Some customers (resellers) do not want to invest immediately in building their own brand and want a "dummy" brand for testing purposes in order to assess the potential / market success of a product. If successful, the product should be sold in the customer's own brand later. - We need an alternative trademark to the official TUNAP brand for resellers - TUNAP brand is sold exclusively through direct sales and only for professional users - SPEEDAP can be sold through wholesale and retail. Any interference with TUNAP brand sales should be avoided. - Product range for SPEEDAP: o Car, e.g. brake cleaner, additives, cockpit spray, windshield washer, rim cleaner o Bicycle, e.g. e-bike cleaner, bicycle cleaner, chain oil, chain cleaner o Household, e.g. grill cleaner, oven cleaner, room fragrance b. Are there restrictions, restrictions for the project? o Logo and name TUNAP should not appear. c. What file types do we need? o File formats: jpg, tif, eps, png 3. Goals a. What do we want to achieve with SPEEDAP? - Provide retailers with a brand to quickly become active in the market - Make the process cheaper for customers - No competition to the TUNAP brand / differentiation 4. Target group a. Who is our target group for this project? - Customers without their own brand -> medium-sized technical trade (B2B) - For (premium) customers to bridge transition phases, handling test phases / test markets -> automobile manufacturers (B2B, B2B2C) - For customers who make a one-time campaign (no listing of the product is intended) -> Food retail, drugstores (B2C) b. What demographic characteristics do we know from this group? (Age, gender, place of residence, lifestyle…) - Mainly male target group / users (automotive or rather technical products) - Technology-savvy users: professionals in the workshop and do-it-yourselfers at home - Age: 20-60 years - Geographical Region: Germany, Western Europe c. What does our target group need? - High quality products (not: "good and cheap") - Presentation / price / quality: placement in the upper segment - The entire product range should be covered, see point 2 (product range) 5. Competitiors a. Who are our strongest competitors? - Sonax, Liqui Moly, BASF, WD-40, Caramba, Nigrin, private labels of the trade, e.g. W5 - Lidl, Zekol - Aldi, dm ("denk mit") b. What do our competitors' logos look like? - Usually only letters, no figurative brand - A lot of red colors c. Are there design decisions by the competition that we particularly like or that we particularly dislike? - Logo of WD-40 looks stale - Logo of Nigrin: We don't like chimney sweeps 6. Project details a. Style - Serious presentation, rather traditional - High-quality - Little flourishes - Rather square, mainly used on (round) aerosol cans - The "speed" component of the name (SPEEDAP) should not be found in the logo - No mascots, no emblems, no figurative mark - Possible: word brand, combination brand, abstract b. Color - As few shades of red as possible - More masculine color tones - TUNAP’s color combinations are excluded - Logo will be used on neutral background colors (black, white, silver / gray) c. Fonts - No frills, see style
