LKPB is a mechanical and electrical engineering firm targeting architects and facilities managers. This firm has new leadership emerging and is are looking for a more distinguishable identity. They have used their letters LKPB as their logo for years and they are looking for a more recognizable brand that can stand on its own if they choose to rename their firm in the next 5-10 years. They are very personable and are experts in their field. They have a rich legacy (48+ years) but they need a makeover to help sell to new clients.

Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty. - leaning towards navy
Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication.
Also interested in an accompanying color- lighter blue or aqua or just greys

They have a rich legacy that they need to emphasize; however, they are looking for a new image to sell to new clients so they need a modern look. Their work is very linear, but they do prefer soft simple forms. They want a unique look- something to separate them from a sea of competitors...most engineers either use their names or a square/rectangle. They want a "solid framework" for their logo but are looking for a more creative solution within that framework...so the sky is the limit, but nothing cartoony or cutesy- they want to illustate their dependability and taking their role seriously. Thank you for your creativity! I am also attaching their current logo but it is terrible...very angular and 80's with bad legibility. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create!
