m|h|s got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Feel at home, feel familiar, feel good: Create a logo for our new Cafe/Bar/Bistro!
Check out m|h|s's Logo design contest…
Frankfurt am Main
Short version: Please design a logo for a Café/Bar/Bistro. The spot will be urban and stylish in a comfortable, relaxed way. Elements of indiustrial loft design, Art Déco, Bauhaus and 50ies will be part of the interior design- yet we are not "retro". So the task is to transform classic design elements into the presence. Logo colors are white and brown, possibly accompanied by a lush orange. Please do not use additional wording like "Café", "Bistro" etc. and avoid anything that connects with coffee (cups, beans etc.); that would be too narrowed down heading towards a coffee shop. For those of you like reading - here is the extended version: We will be opening a Café/Bar/Bistro in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, soon. The products offered range from breakfast to lunch to afternoon coffee and tea with cakes and cookies to a Bistro-type dinner in the evening. The food offered is to a very large degree homemade, Bistro-Style with an individual and creative twist. Since we have a Barista background, Coffee will be of some importance. Further on, the spot will be much better known for its wine selection then for beer from the tap (which we also provide). Some key words to describe the feel: * vintage loft * urban * Art Déco versus shabby * Bauhaus meets the 50ies meets Vienna Coffeehouse-style * homemade meets individual professionalism * local/neighborhood oriented ("Kiez-Café") * feel at home, feel familiar, feel good We are targeting a wide range of customers: students, families / mother and child, seniors, business men. We are not opening a design museum café. So retro is perfect, but it needs to be transformed into the presence and current styles. Does that give you an idea?
