Nutritional Roots is supporting wellness with plant-based supplements and nutritionally dense snacks. Founded by a holistic physician with an Appalachian healing heritage, Nutritional Roots blends the knowledge of traditional healing practices with leading science from the medical community. We would love to convey our founder's unique background in our logo, but we don't want to compromise legibility to tell this story. We uphold the highest standards in non-GMO, organic and raw ingredients. Our products are an extension of the Doctor’s medical studies and passion for disease prevention. We believe healing plants and the traditional practices of the world allow for true health, longevity and inspired living. Nutritional Roots will retail in grocery stores and an online. Our primary audience skews towards Baby Boomer women. Our secondary audience is Baby Boomer men, and our territory audience is high-earning Millennial women.
Logo types to explore
We Are Open to Your Ideas We're not married to the idea of a having a pictorial mark. We're just as open to a stylized name or letters/initials. Pictorial Inspiration If we explore the pictorial route, we like the concepts behind the the Tree of Life motif (see more information at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tree_of_life). The challenge here is keeping the design of simple and scalable while also making the image recognizable. Brand's Tone We like the idea of the brand’s spirit encompassing the following principles: Maternal: Like it or not, nature is our mother – not our father. A maternal tone would be encouraging, gentle and nurturing. When you’re dealing with a person’s health, we think these are all qualities we want to evoke help our story connect. Fun: Healthfulness is achieved through optimism. We are thinking high energy, passion and excitement for improving the wellness of our consumers. We don’t want to create a barrier with customers by being stiff and too serious. There is a balance here; we want to maintain authority and be approachable. Knowledgeable: We are wellness educators. A big part of our mission is educating our consumers. There is a lot of wisdom to impart from the Doctor. While we want to establish authority and be appreciated for our knowledge, we want to be careful in our communication. To yield the highest impact, we need to shy away for esoteric language and keep our stories simple and fun.
