Logo types to explore
I have a very unique nickname, Wink. Everyone knows me by it. That's why it's in the name of my cooking team. So, incorporating it in our logo seems to make sense... thus the winking pig (see attached). I still like the idea of a logo that is a play off of my name while at the same time conveying what we do and how we do it. Almost everyone in competitive BBQ has a cartoony logo with a less than serious name or slogan like, "Smell My Butts" or "Too Sauced to Pork". That's fine for them and I don't have anything against it. But, I would like to set myself apart from the rest of the crowd with something a little more edgy and sophisticated. I want to develop a "brand" from the get-go that can be used for not only my cook team at competitions, but also for any apparrel, cooking products, or restaurants that may spin off of this at a later date. Finally, my style of BBQ cooking is very traditional and basic. I follow all of the tried and proven BBQ rules handed down to me by my family. As a result, my BBQ is consistent and appeals to those who have a sense of nostalgia about how they like their BBQ. If you have any ideas for a slogan that conveys that ideal, please feel free to incorporate it in your design. I go for simple and to the point... like, "Low. Slow. Tasty.". I know that's not catchy, but you get what I mean. Also, I'm thinking Wink's Southern Heritage Barbeque may be too long. If you have any thoughts about this, I'd like to hear those too. Good luck! Impress me!
