geneJO got their new logo design by running a design contest:
An innovative college pathway program needs a logo
Check out geneJO's Logo design contest…
The Honors Pathway offered by Patten University enables graduating high school seniors the opportunity to attend their freshman year of college for free. The Honors Pathway is a rigorous, campus-based, bridge program. It is designed to help students who are “college ready”, but for whom a year of college classes, with intensive academic support and advising could significantly increase the likelihood that they earn a four-year degree. As part of the 11 month program, students complete 10 freshman classes in a small classroom setting and receive a minimum of 300 hours of tutoring. Classes are taught at Honors Pathway centers by faculty who hold advanced degrees and were specifically chosen for this program. Participating students must meet high school graduation requirements and can “walk” in their high school graduation ceremony. However, having “opted into” the Honors Pathway, they will remain enrolled in high school while attending their freshman year of college. This allows high schools to use per pupil funding to cover program expenses. It also enables students to avoid exhausting their limited financial aid on remedial classes that don’t count toward graduation. To ensure the transferability of class credit, Patten has partnered with local public colleges and universities Upon completing the program, students will be awarded their high school diploma and a year of college credits toward an undergraduate degree, at no cost to them or their families. The target audience for the logo is students, parents, and high school partners.
