Hi there,
Thanks for taking the time to read this contest.
I'm looking for a nice family orientated mascot/logo/cartoon to replace the god awful one currently being used on fishfunfolkfestival.com

I apologize if it makes your eyes bleed - it's that bad.
This should be a fun project for an interesting character. Please see the design brief for more details.

Hey there,
I recently joined a local non profit committee that puts off a festival every year. Since they know I do some web design, I was immediately tasked with redoing their website.
Check it out: http://www.fishfunfolkfestival.com/
This thing would have been ugly and outdated in 1996.
While I have no problem making a new website for them, I suck when it comes to mascots.
You can easily see the fish they are using on the webpage, but here's a direct link as well:
http://www.fishfunfolkfestival.com/…shLogo.gif
I know that's an animated gif, but the real sad thing is they're using an image with about the same resolution in all their print materials.
So obviously, we're looking for a nice family friendly logo to liven things up a bit.

The fish is a cod species and that`s an accordion he`s holding. We`re also going to lose the pipe in his mouth.
We have a meeting next Wednesday, so it's probably best if you get your entires in by then if possible. Don't hesitate to enter after then however.
These are two possible poses I'm thinking of for the fish:
The fish with the accordion and a yellow
sou`wester (traditional fishing hat -
see http://www.shopdownhome.com/pgi-Pro…ec?3011039 for pic) and maybe one of
him jumping out of the water or something.
Nothing is really set in stone, so I`d love to see what your
imagination comes up with.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to your entry!
