Ludica got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for Pizzeria Ludica -- Italian-style pizzeria and board game room

Food & Drink
An authentic Neapolitan-style sit-down pizzeria that has hundreds of board games patrons can play after their meal. Our target audience is adults, 20-40 years of age, an equal mix of men and women.
Logo types to explore
The feel we are going for is: playful, but not childish. Our target audience is adults, not children. We want our pizzeria to be a place for adult friends to come to spend time together. We also wish to avoid anything appearing "geeky". Should be warm, inviting, and friendly. The logo must incorporate an element related to board and card games. Examples: pawn, dice, cards. Nothing that should imply gambling however. Additional pizza imagery can be incorporated if in a clever fashion, but is entirely not necessary. I value subtlety and cleverness. Current restaurant colour scheme is brown, red, yellow. Gives off a bit of a 70s feel. You don't have to stick to this.
