The logo needs to allow at least 3 or 4 marks representing the volume of a standard drink at different % alcohol content. See sketch. The logo will be etched onto the glassware. Therefore simple and subtle design is preferable. The heights of the marks will depend on the volume and may vary with the glassware, so they must be movable. I'm keen to see smart ways to communicate the % alcohol content.
I would like to see logo option which includes the name of the glassware line: 'The Standard Drink' or 'The Standard Drink Co.' or The Standard Drink Company'. Less emphasis on "the" and "company".
A unique symbol that is memorable, conveys the brand and product, and can mark atleast 3 different volumes would be ideal solution.
The brand is mid to high end, luxury product but light hearted, functional but interesting /quirky and modern.
The logo shouldn't be too overpowering, but to include a mechanism to mark standard drink volumes, without needing to write the actual % numbers. The relative size of the logo on a wine glass is shown in attached sketch.
Here are some logos I like on Pinterest. In particular interesting use of fonts. A symbol that might represent or invoke the idea of a 'drink' or 'standard'. For marking the volumes, avoid just simple dashed lines one on top of each other, as that would look like a measuring cup or pour line. I can educate the consumer on how the logo marks the levels. So feel free to get creative!
