the learning platform for preventing childhood obesity in Europe
The logo design is intended for a new European project which aims to develop a web platform to support the implementation of projects in the field of healthy eating and physical activity for preventing obesity. The project is developed in partnership with many organisations across Europe and is co-funded by the European Union. We are looking for a creative logo to brand our project “HEPCOM”. HEPCOM stands for Health Educational Projects COMmunity. HEPCOM project aims to support organization that wants to implement projects to prevent people from becoming overweight by encouraging them to eat better and move more. In this respect the HEPCOM project wants to engage as many experts as possible to improve the way healthy eating and physical activity projects are developed, managed and communicated. The main benefits our target audience will have by using the web platform are the following: • Get knowledge and inspiration to improve their daily work with health promotion and to increase local community based intervention • Have a dissemination channel and web based learning community, where networking and exchange of experiences gained from European project can take place Target Audience The target audience for this project includes • Policy makers and decision makers on local, regional and national level • Professional practitioners within local communities and schools
Logo types to explore
We look forward to an appealing logo design that must be very simple but still needs to give a clear idea of the project aim. We would like something that does not relate too much and directly to the “obesity world”. It would be good if the logo could transfer a positive message and be inspirational for those that will decide to use the platform. The logo design must be usable in multimedia formats, printed materials, advertisements, websites and social networks. In this respect, we would like to receive different master variants of the logo, suitable for use across all media channels. The master logo is the preferred version but there will be instances where a secondary logo could be useful (e.g. third party users are unable to incorporate it as a whole) and also a single colour logo (e.g. special situations where print restrictions would mean in is impractical to print in full colour) It would be a plus to receive an idea where the logo (or its tagline) could be used to create sub brands that partner organisation (i.e. local communities running a diet or activity campaign or initiative), can choose to demonstrate that it is part of the HEPCOM movement (also in combination with their logo campaign). In this instance a key healthy eating or physical activity related word (e.g. walk, swim, cook) could be combined (as suffix or prefix) with the word "HEPCOM" to create a sub brand e.g. HEPCOM for walk It’s important that people who see an HEPCOM sub brand can immediately recognise that it’s promoting positive healthy living projects in relation to either healthy eating or physical activity or both – there should be no ambiguity.
