Kudos Villager needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 47 designs submitted by 17 freelance designers.
Logo for a new website that will be launched in November or December 2007. KudosVillage.net will profile local and global professionals (the villagers) who offer various services that are used to develop an online presence. For professionals and small businesses wanting an online presence, KudosVillage identifies what is needed and coordinates the services of multiple "villagers" (including site design, graphic art, photography, web map creation and hosting).

Logo for new website: KudosVillage.net Â
 A single logo is required:
- Your ingenuity and design spirit are encouraged
- Credit for the winning logo designer will be incorporated into the website when launched (as well, if the winner has a suitable, professional website to link to, the credit may include a link to the winner's site)
- Purchaser will seek full copright via written agreement
- The logo must include "kudosvillage.net" in the design.Â
- Text may be mixed case (i.e. KudosVillage.net) or contrasted (i.e. kudosVILLAGE.net)--yet I am open to other combinations you see fit to propose
- The logo may be simple and elegant or detailed and expressive, but the winning logo will need to convey the creative and collaborative spirit that underlies the services to be provided via KudosVillage.net.  Some more "food for thought":Â
- preference exists to incorporate or symbolize people (faces or full bodies?) in the logo, (as a silhouette, a drawing or image?)--to convey the idea that a village is made up of villagers
- if there are multiple people or objects in the logo design, the number 8 has some significance and would be encouraged
- consider an "urban, global village" flaviour if a design depicts or suggests a "village"
- if people are depicted, consider mixed generations, genders, races, etc. as an illustration of broad diversity
- consider the use of symbols of the electronic age (e.g. laptops, gadgets, cameras, wires, plugs, sparks)
- consider incorporating elements of nature and humanity (rather than impersonal computers and gadgets)
- the business has local roots (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada) and global breadth (respecting service providers and clientelle)
- the winning logo is not likely to have all of the elements suggested above, and you may have your own ideas. I will remain open to anything that reflects the true nature and flavour of kudosvillage.net.Â
