donell needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 41 designs submitted by 25 freelance designers.

The logo is for an academic institution. A sketch is provided for inspiration. (download sketch of tree from here: http://www.griotmedia.com/tree.jpg) The client likes the CONCEPT, but would like to enhance the actual drawing. Thus the new logo does NOT have to be a tree centered on the page with text underneath. Be creative! (web examples are below to give you an idea of the feeling were trying to portray).

2. The TREE represents energy source, God, strength, power (the tree itself can have character; see #3 and #4 below)
3. The FLOWERS represent community, growth, nourishment, health (flowers are not a requirement in the redesign, maybe use hands, people, people holding hands or some abstract representation of life)
