saltroot got their new logo design by running a design contest:
What's a Cheese Popup?
Check out saltroot's Logo design contest…
Food & Drink
We bake cheese popups, which are little cheese rolls that people can have late morning or after lunch every day. They are made from gluten-free grains and get subtly different flavors from the different cheeses they are baked with. Some come with fillings like scallions, gorgonzola, nuts, or chutneys. People buy a few of them at a time to share with friends.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Purples: Imagination, spirituality, royalty and luxury. Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication. Let designers make suggestions: consider including the golds and yellows of a cheese popup in at least part of the shape, image, or symbol.
It all began with a design brief.

And then… they selected a winner!
The logo well represents the brand image that I pursue, it is unique and not too commercial. It was a surprising to be presented with a similar concept I have had in mind. I appreciate for the mindfulness.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
