We are a skateboard distributor located in Southern, CA. We sell skateboards nation wide and all over the world.

Hello everyone, We are looking for original creative designs for our longboard decks. We want a simple/clean pattern or drawing with emphasis to modern, minimal, geometric figures or elements. The key objective of this design project is to incorporate see-through (transparent) elements to show the quality of deck (wood). For more visual guide and direction, I inserted some designs from other companies that reflect the outcome we're looking for. Your final design should be something like the attached longboard graphic that was designed for us here at 99designs. Overall, our design goal is to appeal to our target market which is the college / young adult crowd. The design needs to be young, hip, modern and lively - No sad and dark vibes. Branding: Please don't use any board logos in your design. Fonts: Please outline any fonts if used in the design. Colors: Please limit your colors to the 3 or less. Feel free to choose colors that will fit your design. Template: Please use the template that we've attached. The main focus of your artwork should fit within the black area. Please have your design extend to a 42” X 10” outline. If you decide to use stock images for your design, please make sure to have the proper licensing. (enhanced license) If you plan to use photos, please make sure they're the proper size (300 DPI). Our longboards are generally 41" x 9.5" in size. In addition, if we leave positive feedback on your designs please leave your previous submissions as well. Sometimes we'll prefer your original work over the changes we asked you to make. We're aiming for one graphic but like in our previous contests, we might choose two.

If your design is chosen as the winner (preferably using Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator ), we ask that you submit an organized filing system with all the layers of each design element included. This will help us with save time to layout the design, as well as do any modifications to fit our needs. The Template for Drop Through and Kick Tail are attached in PNG format. This will allow you to provide a clearer presentation on your designs.
