Design a Flyer to Promote My Training Business
Check out mail KP's Postcard, flyer or print contest…
We provide a wide range of services in support of biomedical equipment repair technicians (BMETs). Our primary service is providing technical training, so they can repair electrosurgical equipment. The themes are medical and equipment repair. The career field is 85 percent male. Most have received training in the military or from a technical school. Training is important to them. They need it to pass the all-important BMET test and to separate themselves from others in the field. These people are true friends of mine. I call them my "blue jeans and beer buddies." Biomeds are very casual, very "real" people. There aren't involved in corporate politics. They are "what-you-see-is-what-you-get people. There are about 65,000 biomeds in the United States. When equipment breaks in the hospital, they are called upon to get it operational in the shortage time possible. Hospitals pay millions of dollars on their capital equipment, so naturally they want it up and available for patient needs. Electrosurgery is used in 90% of all operations performed today. Of that 90%, my former company (Valleylab/Covidien/Medtronic) controlled 70% of that market share. I am the only instructor that teaches the repair and maintenance of this equipment suite (see www.biomedsupportservices.com/course-topics). So, this is a niche market for my company.
What's your vision?
I want a flyer designed to announce courses in different locations. The design and most of the information will remain static, but there must be a provision for tailoring the flyer so the date and location can be changed dynamically. Once the date and location have been added, the form will be attached to an email for a mass email campaign. The intention is that it can be received via email and then printed. I am providing all the information for the flyer as attachments. That will include general information, testimonials, pictures, logos, etc. I obviously want the flyer to be professional, but I also want the designers to be as creative as possible. That might even mean making suggestions on what to add or how to package it that I may not have yet considered.
I have used 99 Designs for two other projects and I've been impressed with the professional designs I received. If you need original artwork for my logo, it will be in my account. I am including several forms of my logo as attachments. My logo uses blue colors because those colors are representative of the medical field. This might be the best way to go, but I am open to complementary colors as well. You can use stock images if you'd like (and I'm willing to pay the extra fee), but I do have access to the Shutterstock library as well. Since you are designing this (and not me), I want you to use whatever you need to create a professional flyer. BTW...the logo I'm using was designed by one of your designers. I have 65 resized photos of students working in our classes. I have them available in Dropbox if you think they might be useful. i am including a few examples of them as attachments.
