What's your vision?
This is the cover for an ebook. The title should be displayed: Overcoming Imposter Syndrome: Ten Strategies to Stop Feeling Like a Fraud at Work. The author should be displayed: Elizabeth Harrin. No back cover is required. The ebook is electronic (of course) and will be produced as an A4 format .pdf file. The chosen design will be used on our websites, and shared through other social media sites and used to make a small book icon for illustration purposes on our sales page. The chosen design may be cropped or elements picked out for reproduction on flyers and business cards or other promotional material. No specific colours are required, although it would be good for it to be cohesive with the internal design. Headings in the book are coloured Turquoise 7 (RGB 0, 107, 107) and Turquoise 8 (RGB 0, 74, 74) in Open Office. Page numbers are set in turquoise boxes with rounded corners. Internal illustrations on section introduction pages are photographs: woman in a carnival mask, a toy in a superhero cape and mask, a woman on a subway platform with the train rushing by (see attached images). The chosen design should be appropriate for this i.e. no cartoons or line drawings. Block colour is fine; please aim for clean lines and the feeling of a management book rather than a self-help book. No images of people throwing off chains or emerging from a chrysalis reborn full of self-confidence please. Suitable images would convey the feeling of thinking you don't really know what you're doing at work and it's not that long before you get found out. Masks fit this brief, but feel free to be creative if you have other image ideas that would convey an appropriate sentiment.
.psd or .pdf files please, as I don't have Illustrator. This ebook is aimed at educated professional working women, who are likely to have recently entered the workforce, been promoted to a new position, or who have returned to work after maternity leave. The cover should not, however, be off-putting to male readers. Overcoming Imposter Syndrome is a practical book that explains what Imposter Syndrome is and sets out 10 strategies for overcoming it. Each chapter ends with quick take aways and action steps. A worksheet is included for recording your own personal action plan.
