Food & Drink
The Brewing Company CERVEJINHA is a club of home brewers who have now taken the giant step of purchasing our own commercial brewery. We are situated in Sursee, Switzerland. Our brewing philosophy is to create handmade real beers using only the finest natural ingredients. Our primary target market consists of craft beer drinkers, men and women, aged 35-55, higher income, well travelled, interested in trying new things and people who have yearning to Latin America. Especially to Brazil.
What's your vision?
We are looking for a label design for our bottled (500ml brown glass) beers and have applied to register the trademark “CERVEJINHA” for our craft beer range. The trademark is supposed to be great on the labels in uppercase letters, lowercase letters or mixed. As a small, start-up brand, the packaging design will be crucial in communicating our positioning and image to the consumer. We plan to launch with 6 initial variants. The names of these variants are “baiana”, “carioca”, “paulista”, “amazônica”, “nordestina” and “mineira”. These are the designations of female inhabitants of Brazil. These names are supposed to be on the labels in uppercase letters, lowercase letters or mixed. On the bottle label is supposed to be a young beautiful female, Latin-American figure (abstract or not abstract). However, the figure has to be politically correct. No sexist representation. The design should be strongly branded and able to be easily adapted to as many as 9 different variants. Clear variant differentiation is extremely important. Each variant has its own bottle caps color. “baiana” has yellow, “amazônica“ has lime-green, “carioca” has light blue, “nordestina” has orange, paulista has black and “mineira” has white (see attached photo). On the label must be the slogan: “cerveja premium para os brasileiros exilados.” in uppercase letters, lowercase letters or mixed.“CERVEJINHA” is NOT a brand with gold embossed labels or with thousands of awards. But a brand with Latin-American flair. The size of the label is fixed: height 100mm, width 90mm and bleed 3mm. Important graphic content must be at least 4 mm from the edge because the printed labels are sometimes inaccurate cut. We do not need a neck label at this time. On all sides of the label we need an at least 8mm wide space so that we can insert text and tables with Adobe Indesign (see attached photo cervejinha). Graphic elements or color could flow under the text and tables. But text and tables we insert (black or white) in this at least 8mm wide space must be clearly legible. For the trademark “CERVEJINHA” we like a font like by Aleheads (see attached photo Aleheads). But for better font ideas, we are absolutely open.
