Design the label for Cranes Drink

Food & Drink
Cranes drink is a modern and fresh alcoholic cranberry drink that is fermented purely from blended cranberries. It uses only natural ingredients to produce a crisp, clean and refreshing taste with an alcoholic content of 4%. The name cranberry derives from "craneberry", first named by early European settlers in America who found the cranberry bush where the flower resembled a cranes head. The name Craneberries was then adapted to Cranberries. Hence our company name being Cranes, as well the bird featuring in our current logo.
What's your vision?
We would like our bottle label designed. The majority of the work has already been done, in the sense we have a label design which we like the concept of, but there is something missing and it doesn't look like the finished product. To make the description easier to follow I've divided it into 3 sections. 1) The logo 2) An Emblem/Neck Label 3) Front label 1) We do like the present logo and don't want it altering too much, we are also happy with the colours and the type face in use. The issue is when you look at the logo it doesn't clearly read ''Cranes''. At the moment it's not obvious enough that the crane's head resembles an "r". Because it's a new product we would rather people didn't go around calling it "Ganes" or "Canes". We want to avoid losing the Crane in the logo, but it is important that logo is legible. We did try changing the colour of the Cranes head to the same as the rest of the text (with the body of the crane remaining grey), it definitely improved the legibility, however something was missing. It would be great if you could have a play around with that - we are open minded. On an additional note, if you compare the logo attached to the logos in the front labels, you will notice the boldness of the text has been increased. It might be worth bearingt in mind when redesigning as we did like the bolder version as it was easier to read on the bottle from a distance. 2) We are interested in having an emblem designed predominantly for the neck label and maybe for the front label as well, ideally resembling the crane or the cranes head. Just something simple and modern, so when people see it (in the future when we are more well known) they think Cranes Drink. With the neck label mainly consisting of the emblem, maybe add a border and some additional bits to finish it off. If you refer to the files attached and look at the front labels, you will see there are four different flavours. As you can see the lime Infusion is predominantly green and the Raspberry and Pomegranate is Predominantly a Red colour. If the neck labels could have the ability to continue this pattern, even having the ability use the different colours on the emblem for the corresponding flavour. If you look at the pictures for the front they are printed on silver paper which we will also be the case for the neck label, so would be good to include silver in the neck label. 3) Finally the front label, we had a good crack at it before and we do like the way they look (so check out the files attached), but again there is something missing. They don't look like the finished product, so the label needs to be changed or altered. Here are some of the elements of the current label we would like to avoid losing when they are being changed/altered: Again we do like the colour coding, so from a distances it’s easy to see the different flavours, for example the green label is the Lime Infusion (the colour will be changed to more of a lime colour from the current mint colour) and the red/pink one is the raspberry and pomegranate. So when redesign it would be good to keep that ability, say if you just design the original flavour, then it would be great to have the option for the other flavours to simply change the colours to the corresponding flavour so they look like a set. We would like to keep some silver in the labels, as it adds an element of class we like, although currently maybe there is too much. One thing we do think is missing is a border, so potentially add a border using the colour for that particular flavour? With regards to the shape of the label we are happy with the way they are, but if you do think something else works better then great, go for it. Again we are open minded so please do have a play around. And lastly if you think the front label seems to be missing something then try using the emblem on it, we would be totally fine with that. It is also important the front and neck label compliment each other.
Just to say we are very open minded and please do have a play around, if you think something works better than what we have suggested then go for it. As long as it portrays us as a modern and fresh drink. Another thing to keep in mind is that we use a clear bottle and Cranberries are red so the bottles are red. Also the target market would be aimed at the younger female but don’t want it to look girly, keeping it fairly neutral as men drink it as well.
