eatzeiglers got their new product label by running a design contest:
Design a sleek new product label for Zeigler's Sausages

Hot Italian Sausage
Description of the product
We are a small, family-owned artisanal sausage maker located in Southern California. We've just finished our website design via 99designs, and now need to update our product labels.
Description of the product target audience
Consumers, Retail/Wholesale, Distribution
We are looking for a prototype/layout, which can then be used for the rest of our labels. Below, I have attached one of our current labels - we have four products total - I want to somehow keep the look and feel, however the labels need modification in size, and they also need to reflect our current product claims. Specifically: heritage pork (under ingredients list), raised on open pasture, raised without antibiotics, raised without hormones (with a disclaimer that "Federal regulations prohibit the use of hormones in pork"), gluten free and nitrate free. Our current label is vertical, 6"h x 4"w. I would like to change the format so that it is 4" tall x 5" wide. I have included a sample label ((file#CCF16022018) from a competitor in our industry that is a starting guideline (re layout, not look and feel). Take a look and give me your best! Thank you in advance, and please let me know if you have any questions.
What to avoid
Please do not look at our current website, eatzeiglers.com for look and feel ideas. We've recently redone the design (via 99designs) and it is in the process of being implemented. I have attached a file of our new homepage for reference.
Our current label is vertical 6"x4"; we want our updated label to be approximately 4" x 5" horizontal. See the sample label for reference (file#CCF16022018)
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their product label.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
eatzeiglers collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
