We are trying to create an off-shoot of an established brand, FAB, (see link: http://ecorpinc.com/fab.html). This offshoot is a more elegant, slightly more expensive bottle of wine called FABulous. It would range between $10-$20 on the shelf. We want to target a gender-neutral audience (could lean to female) between ages of 30-50. The current wine up for labeling is a 100% Merlot from Mendocino, California, but the label should be generic enough that it can be changed in the future for other wines by changing the colors, but not the formatting.
What's your vision?
A wine label for 100% Merlot from Mendocino, California that is reminiscent of these designs: http://ecorpinc.com/fab.html but more expensive looking while remaining obtainable. We especially like the Ravenswood Label by Goines, but simplicity is key. (See: Pinot Project, Polkura, Isabela Malbec, Ausonia) A black background on a label seems to be trending right now, but we're open. This front label must include the words "Fabulous" (or FABulous) and "Merlot" Could also use any of the following for the label: "100% Mendocino Merlot." Also the vintage, "2012" (Government regulates that the vintage cannot be larger than the Appellation (Mendocino), and the grape (Merlot) must be bigger than the Appellation.) Label dimensions are: 4.75" tall x 3" wide Will go on a regular Bordeaux bottle. (glass will look black on shelf, but truly dark green)
There are a lot of wine labels on the shelves these days. We need something that stands out and says, "Drink me! I'm fabulous"
