krisjF got their new product label by running a design contest:
Grass-Fed Beef Stick label for new product line
Check out krisjF's Product label contest…
Karl Family Farms
two products; Sea Salt Grass-Fed Beef Sticks and Cracked Pepper Grass-Fed Beef Sticks
Description of the product
Our product is a healthy alternative to those crummy meat sticks you find on a convenience store shelf. Our sticks are a protein packed snack that is great for active individual or kids looking for a premium, high protein snack.
Description of the product target audience
Our main customer base is a health conscious adult between 25-60 who is focused on putting the best things into their body and that of their children etc.
Attached please find two labels that are already approved by USDA. We cannot change the format significantly so we are less looking for a huge design change and instead just an upgrade and proper formatting. I had just mocked these up on microsoft word and they are not in proper format to use for printing etc. We need the barcode and nutrition panel added to each label, I am thinking the nutrition panel can go above the ingredients and the barcode can go under the ingredients or all the way at the bottom. Also USDA has requested that in a smaller font under "Grass-Fed Beef Stick" we add the statement *beef used is grass-fed. Attached please also see the front and back of our jerky packages that are printed on Kraft paper bags. So that you can see the general style of our product line. This beef stick label is 1.5 inches wide and can be no longer than 9 inches long.
What to avoid
avoid changing the general layout or altering the size of the wording too much. Fonts can change as well as updated imagery although we do like these the way they are just looking for an upgraded version of what we have
1.5 wide x 9 long this label will go on the front of an individually wrapped beef stick
