kurtsnyder got their new product label by running a design contest:
Traditional Style Tequila Brand Bottle Label

Description of the product
Cinco Arcos Tequila is produced at the second oldest tequila distillery in the world, which started making tequila in 1840. We want to differentiate this tequila from the other mass produced tequilas. It will be made using traditional methods and in small batches. We want the label to have a traditional look but with a more modern, updated traditional look.
Description of the product target audience
Cinco Arcos Tequila is produced and marketed primarily towards restaurants and bars. It will mostly be used for mixing drinks and making margaritas.
I want a design that is on a single label sheet with different sections as can be seen on the attached "Approx Label Dimensions" sheet. You will also find attached what the bottle we are going to use will be. Front Section- The brand name on the label will be "Cinco Arcos" which means five arches. The name is derived from the five arches of the distillery built in 1840 where Cinco Arcos is produced. A graphic of the five arches needs to be on the front of the label, visually reinforcing the brand name and our Tequila's history. Attached is a picture of the actual five arches for reference. For the graphic of the arches, I was thinking of possibly having a grayscale drawing (maybe in pencil?) of the arches to go along with the theme of heritage and tradition. This is just a suggestion. The front of the label must also include the words "Tequila" and "Reposado" (which means aged or rested in Spanish). Other phrases and words that need to be included on the front label are: "Hecho in Mexico" (means made in Mexico), "Distillery founded 1840", " 40% Alc. / Vol." "750ml". The main slogan for the front of the bottle is: "Tradición en cada botella" This should be featured more prominently than the other phrases. Middle Section- This relatively small middle area should include some of the things required by law to be on the label. There should be the barcode in this section. The government warning should be worded exactly like this: "GOVERNMENT WARNING: (1) According to the Surgeon General, women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects. (2) Consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems." We also need the following to be in this area: "Distilled by Casa Reyes Barajas S.A. De C.V. - Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico" and "Imported by Jewel Spirits, LLC - Kingston Springs, TN" The "NOM 1507 CRT" graphic should be included in this area. Please see attachment. Rear Section- At the top of the rear section it should say: "Tradition in every bottle", which is a translation of the Spanish slogan from the front of the label. The rest of the wording for the rear label should be as follows: "Our superb Tequila is named Cincos Arcos after the “Five Arches” that promenade the front of the D'Reyes family's historic 1840 distillery. Only traditional methods of the highest quality are used to make Cincos Arcos Tequila. Our tequila begins with mature agave slow roasted in century old masonry ovens. Natural fermentation – by native airborne yeast – next imparts its celebrated flavors and aroma. Finally distillation is done only in pot stills to retain optimum balance. All crafted in small batches using generations of expertise, pride, and hard work to create a phenomenal tequila." "JewelSpirits.com" should appear on the back of the label as well.
We want a single label to include the front, back and middle panel. Approximate dimensions: Width- 215mm Height- 120mm Approx area size for front of label- 90mm Approx area size for back of label- 90mm Please see attached scan of the approximate label dimensions. These dimensions are approximate and can be altered slightly as needed.
