We are launching a line of Kale Crisps for the trendy urban consumer seeking healthier snacking options. Adjectives to describe brand feel: Trendy, urban, slightly feminine, chic, fun, on-the-go Target consumer: ‘Lifestyle consumer’/ young urban professionals Our Target Customer is Jane. Jane is a 22-40 year old woman who is trendy, urban, chic, active, healthy, wealthy and fun. She lives an active lifestyle and is especially fond of yoga and Lululemon. She enjoys healthy meals like quinoa, salads and smoothies, but she’s doesn’t restrict herself to an organic or vegan/vegetarian diet, as she also enjoys eating out at nice restaurants and enjoying a nice glass of wine. Jane is career-driven and hence time- constrained: she would love to prepare her own healthier meals/snacks but doesn’t have the time and is frustrated by the lack of healthy snacks at work. She would love to grab a pack of Viva Kale crisps on the go. We also hope to capture Dennis: a male, urban, active young professional who loves being healthy but doesn’t always have the time to do so, given his very demanding job. Dennis has a high income, but little time to enjoy it – he’s willing to pay a premium for convenience and to get what he wants. Target distribution channels: • Independent retailers/premium chains/upmarket sandwich chains • e.g. life-alive, b good • Premium coffee shops • Healthy restaurants with salads and juices
What's your vision?
We are looking for someone to design the packet for our Kale Crisps. We will need design for 2 sides of a packet with dimensions 7" wide by 8" high. The back will mostly be information (nutrition label etc) which we send you, so the focus of this project is the illustration/design on the front of the packet. The flavor is 'Rosemary, sea salt and olive oil' Design: we are open to creativity at this stage. We are catering to lifestyle consumers. The adjectives which best describe our brand feel are trendy, fun, urban, slightly feminine, chic. We do not want photos of ‘kale’ or green vegetable associations on our packaging. We also don't want the design to look too cluttered/busy. Front of packet: Will have our brand name (Viva Kale) and tagline below it (Kale crisps done right) as well as some design (we leave that to your creativity!) Back of packet: Nutrition label, brand story in a box (see below) Desirable colours: Pastels (pink, green, yellow, blue) or fresh colours. We just wanted to provide examples of other brands which reflect our style and cater to our target customer demographic. We realized there was nothing available for people who want to enjoy this experience on the go. We love Kale in smoothies and juices, why not enjoy it as an edible snack too! And that’s why we created Viva Kale. <p style="font-style: normal; line-height: 19.600000381469727px; font-family: sans-serif;">Viva, meaning ‘Long Live’, reflects the purpose of our product. Our crisps are low-calorie and nutrient-rich, giving you a healthy, tasty snack without compromising on the crisp crunch you love. Simple ingredients. Delicious flavors.
